We confirmed our support of Armed Forces personnel in the workplace by adding our name to the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC). To reiterate our commitment, we have simultaneously received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
As per the AFC, we “pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.”
This isn’t a new standard for us, but it is a public declaration. It has always been at the forefront of our employment drives and will continue to be important. To achieve bronze status, we had to prove we promote being an armed-forces friendly employer. Not a difficult task here, a cofounder and two of the senior client managers are proudly ex-military.
In our line of business having people who understand the genuine demand of offshore life is invaluable. It is unique and our ex-military personnel can empathise with this. We always aim to build trust with our clients and contractors alike so a deep understanding of offshore life is essential in our view.
We look forward to building on this pledge as we continue to grow.
